About me

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor based in Sheffield offering open-ended counselling sessions to adults. I currently see face-to-face clients from a counselling room in Hillsborough. I also provide sessions via telephone or video call.

Whatever you are going through, I will offer you a listening ear and my undivided attention. We will explore your problems and concerns together and I will not judge you or tell you what to do.

My approach is to provide you with a safe and non-judgemental space where you can feel free to open up and explore your feelings in a confidential environment. We will talk about whatever you want to talk about - you will be empowered to lead your own sessions.

Training & Experience

Throughout my training, I completed placements at multiple counselling agencies which provided me with experience working with a range of clients and presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, family problems, and relationship difficulties among other issues.

I currently work part-time for a charity supporting people experiencing poor mental health and suicidal ideation. I also have experience in providing emotional and practical support for survivors of sexual abuse.

My Approach

I am trained in person-centred counselling which is a form of talking therapy.

The person-centred approach is simply a way of working that puts the client at the heart of the work; it’s all about you. You are given the freedom to choose what you want work on and what might be the best outcome, all in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space.

Some examples of things we might focus on include might focusing on using your own strengths and insight about yourself to encourage personal growth and improve relationships.

The person-centred approach is based on the work of Carl Rogers who pioneered Humanistic Counselling. He believed every human, given the right conditions, has the innate capacity to reach their full potential.

My Values

I am passionate about helping others to achieve better mental health and well being. I believe that you can make a difference in how you live your life.

It’s not always easy to navigate the challenges of life and you may need help. You may not be quite ready but by talking things through you might realise you would like to start taking control of certain areas of your life.

Above all I want to support and help you to feel better, find more peace of mind, and realise your ability to reach your full potential.
